About Soya milk pudding

What's up guysss!

Yo, after i was MIA for few days, now i am back! *applause noise*

This post is going to talk about a dessert, Soya milk pudding!! This is the second of my favourite dessert, the top one is edd tart. That's why my blog name is ruby tart, the "ruby" word is used to replace the word "egg" simply because i think that the "egg" word is not that classy enough :D

Okay, back to topic. I'm going to share the recipe here because this is the third time my mum making the pudding (i am her asistant lol) and this time is the most successful one. *applause noise again*

Ingredients:
1. 2 big packets of Soya drink  or 2 litres of Soya drink (each packet equals to 1 litre) so, 1+1=2. Any brand of soya drink will do. Ignore the price tag, I think other grocery shops are selling the same soya drink in a more cheaper price, my mum bought the expensive one. It should be RM2.40. Got cheated 20 cents. Ishhhh

2. Evaporated Milk. I not sure about the its function, maybe it just added to give the milky taste to the pudding :P This is Nestle Carnation Evaporated Creamer, recommended by the auntie who taught my mum this pudding's recipe, so must use this brand!!

3. Pandan Leaves.  (5 to 6 leaves are enough) I have no idea on how to get these leaves in the market, but luckily, my mum actually plant these leaves behind of my house. They act as the taste enhancer, which give a nicer taste and also the smell to the pudding. This is the hot and must-have ingredient because many people like to use pandan leaves in making other dessert or tong sui. They really smelled good :)

4. Agar-agar Powder. This powder is able to dissolve in your soymilk liquid then thicken the liquid and make your pudding into the jelly-like thingy.

5. 2 litres of water
6. Sugar,  no fix amount, according to the sweetness you want.

Okay, here we go. Steps are easy.
Put the ingredients 1, 2, 3 and 5 into a big soup pot. Remember to tie the pandan leaves together before throw them inside. You will get something like this.
Note: Pour the soya drink and water gently to avoid so many bubbles. This is a failed example. =.= It doesn't affect you pudding's appearance anyway.

After that, the toughest part come. Heat it on a average fire for about an hour so that all the ingredients inside are mixing well. Be sure that you never away from your stove. You gotta to control the fire to avoid the liquid seeping through the pot. If the thing happened, God blessed you. My mom sure hantam me gao gao.
"Bloop.. bloop... bloop..."

During the heating process, u have to stir it frequently and you can add the sugar inside as well and taste it until you satisfy with its sweetness level. I've put 9 big spoon of sugar  (spoon that we normally used to drink soup) inside but then my other family members still say that it's not sweet enough. Their tasts bud got problem already lar! wtf.

Meanwhile, mix the agar-agar powder with a bowl of water and stir it just before you are going to off the fire. Heat it for another few more minutes. Here is the last step of the making process. Again, this time you must GENTLY pour the liquid in to the containers that you prepared, this time the bubbles is going to spoil your pudding's image, so u have to pour the liquid softly and slowly to avoid the bubbles. If you like, you can also add the longan, laichi or strawberry (yucks! i hate strawberry) to the pudding, and let them cold before you put into the fridge. I didn't put because my mum forgot to buy. >.<
These are the SOYA MILK PUDDING !!!!!It's hard to have bubble-free pudding, but try your best to filter out the bubbles before the liquid is transformed into pudding.

Mine still got a lot of bubbles, heee, i'm lazy to filter out all XD

Try it yourself! It's so soft, smooth, taste good and OMGidon'tknowwhatelsecandescribe!!
If you have other ways to make the same pudding, share it with me! :)

xoxo
