Internship

It's already the second week of October 2012. Almost two months away from the end of the world (rumours has it). What I have been up to recently? HOLIDAYSSSS!!! which gonna come to the end in two days time.

I saw the last post i blogged was in July, three months ago from now. So, I'm back here again! Went and back, went and back, like a never ending cycle.

Stepped in my final year of my degree course. I had an industrial attachment, a term used to replace "internship" in my university, at a book and magazine publishing company in the past three months.

I was under the marketing department of the company and there's only 4-5 persons in the team including me! Gladly to say, my direct supervisor is really a nice and helpful person! Not to forget the other colleagues in the company who always bring me joy and laughter during my internship period.

Except the lady in the room. (Let's not talk about her.)

Alright! Here's a bunch of photos of my with my lovely colleagues :)

The marketing department with messy tables.

Rachel - The coolest supervisor ever! <3 her so much

Ah Sam - My coursemate who also interned at the same company with me! Helping each other in every way  during our internship, thanks for accompany me, <3 her too T_T

Yen Yen - Her table used to located very far from ours but then was being transferred to sit with us towards the end of my internship. She was so not willing to sit in front!! We all knew the reason behind LOL!

Marilyn - Another intern under the marketing department, also the one who's the first left the team among all the interns! We were so envy her that time!

Stella - The one in the company who always discuss TVB drama series with me! Got guts and come with a very strong UK accent whenever she speak English. I feel shameful on my English now. ><

Done introducing my former colleagues from marketing team. I miss them so much!

Yvonne - She's not from our department but still spend almost every day to lunch with us! So, we are quite close also :)

Photos with another magazine team! Mei Jin (top), Yuki (Left) and Hooi Chin (Right). Worked with them during an event in KLCC!

Beside missing this bunch of cute colleagues, the other thing I missed the most is our tea break time! Tong Kei desserts have been my favorite choice of tea-time dessert during my internship, aside from other tidbits and snacks. XD

The iconic dessert from Tong Kei - Egg Tart! The butter flavor is so much nicer than the normal one!

Just some cheese cakes. XD

Japanese Curry Rice, that was my lunch on the last second day of my internship period. Then egg tarts and almonds tarts as the tea break dessert!

Coconut tart!

Onigiri! So damn nice I can say!!! Highly recommended by me!!!

That's the reason why I gained a lot of weight during my industrial training. Just eat and sit in the office, so unhealthy lifestyle!!! FAT! OMG

What I need to do is READ ALL THE MAGAZINES IN THE OFFICE!!! This was true! One of my job scope!! I can read fashion magazines for free over the past three months! I was given permission to do so LOL

Other than that, my duty was basically, just dealing with the readers, some office documents, workshops, roadshows and sometimes simple design works. Easy but quite tiring especially when I have to work in a roadshow for long hours.

Overall it was a very interesting experience as I got to know how a publishing company operate. Learnt a lot of beauty tips from reading the magazines as well as getting free beauty products hehehe!

Too bad, one important lesson I learnt from this working experience is it will never be my field of career in the future. Don't know how to describe the reason. It's just doesn't suit me. :/

Btw, if you notice it, my office only got females employees, not sure if the boss sexist or what -.-

Okay, that's all for it now. Signing off. x.
